Unused Loki Scene Was Too Crazy For Kevin Feige

We've already seen some truly crazy stuff on Loki considering that it's a show about the God of Mischief. However, one idea proved to be a little too much for Marvel boss Kevin Feige and ended up being discarded because it was too crazy.

Loki creator Michael Waldron is the one person who came up with all the awesome things we saw in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series. Needless to say, he's the one we should thank for Alligator Loki. However, the reptilian Loki Variant isn't the only crazy and dangerous animal that would have appeared in the show.

Waldron was recently a guest on the Ringer-Verse podcast where he shared the original plans for the scene where Sylvie is trying to control Hunter C-20's mind.

"That actually turned into kind of a fight sequence where the TVA had defenses in place. So there are people in the memory, and the beach bar actually turned on Sylvie and were attacking her, and it got crazier and crazier," Waldron said.

But just how crazy did it get? Waldron added that "there were little kids attacking her, and then I literally wrote in that an armadillo with a laser mounted on it comes [into] the beach bar and is firing, and Sylvie kicks it like a soccer ball out into the ocean."

Yes, Waldron confirms that this insane fight "was in a script" that he presented to Feige, who reacted strongly to the scene.

"Kevin often references that to me," Waldron said with a laugh. "He's like, 'That might be the bar for [being] too much.'"

Well, at least now we know that armadillos with lasers are the dealbreaker for Feige. On the other hand, massive Variant fights, reptilian Variants, and a new kind of "self-love" are absolutely welcome. With that in mind, we look forward to more crazy things happening in the second season of Loki.

For now, it is unclear whether Waldron will return to work on Loki Season 2. It has already been confirmed that director Kate Herron will not be back for the second season but Waldron has teased that he could return to the MCU series if his schedule allows it. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

All episodes of the first season of Loki are now available for streaming on Disney+. Loki Season 2 has been confirmed but has not yet been given an official release date. Nevertheless, an announcement could be made about the series before the end of the year.
