Ubisoft Shows Interest in Bringing Back the Scott Pilgrim Video Game

Scott Pilgrim is currently trending right now and that's because fans are super excited to see the movie when it re-releases in theaters to celebrate its 10-year anniversary. While it wasn't a huge box office success at the time, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World has a huge cult following and even managed to get an excellent video game tie-in that has since been lost to time. However, it looks like there might be plans to bring this game back soon if this ominous tweet from Ubisoft is anything to go by.

Bryan Lee O'Malley, the creator of Scott Pilgrim, tweeted out about how they should bring back the beloved Scott Pilgrim video game, which got the attention of Ubisoft. They did develop it after all so it's a shame that the game disappeared from digital stores after a licensing dispute. Hopefully, the two sides can talk it out and bring it back since I would kill to play Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Video Game on my Nintendo Switch.

For those unfamiliar with the tie-in game, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Video Game played like a classic brawler akin to Streets of Rage, while also using a gorgeous engine that managed to make these characters look like their graphic novel counterparts. It was a true gem of a game and many hearts were broken when it was removed from online stores so here's hoping we get it again.

While you can't get the video game (yet), Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is now available in various digital outlets. Try reading the graphic novels while we're at it, which come in manga-style black and white, along with colored versions.
