Turn Yourself Into Venom with This Official App

Venom is set to come out in barely a week, and Sony is pushing the marketing to the fullest. Just in, they've developed this face app which turns you into Venom.

Admittedly, Sony really needs this Venom film to go well as it's the first of many SUMC (Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters) films. Besides Venom, other characters in their Spider-Man IP that are getting the movie treatment are Morbius the Living Vampire, Black Cat, Silver Sable, and Kraven the Hunter.

So far, reception for the Venom movie has been coming out a tad mixed. Though a lot of people definitely love the comic-accurate look for the character, the dialogue that he's been spouting has been leaving less to be desired; sure the ‘so many snacks' line was lifted from the comics, but it's ridiculous how the ‘turd in the wind' line actually made it to the trailer.

There's also a lot of backlash going around for whether this movie will be connected to the MCU's Spider-Man or not. Rumors suggest that Venom has totally nothing to do with the MCU, while other reports are saying that it's very loosely connected and that Tom Holland is even set to cameo as Peter Parker. Seeing that Venom's origin is very closely tied to Spider-Man, a lot of people think it would be crazy if Sony wasn't planning some kind of crossover down the line.

Is Venom part of the MCU? We'll just have to wait for the movie to come out to get our definitive answer.
