What's great about the isekai genre is that it continues to evolve up to this day. The creators find various ways to place their own spin on the genre, adding a few elements here and there that bring something fresh to the story. Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy is a good example of that.

It follows the story of Makoto Misumi, a high school student initially summoned by the god Tsukuyomi to become a hero in another world. Unfortunately, the goddess of that world ends up disliking Makoto, even going as far as calling him ugly. She ends up banishing Makoto to the Wasteland, located at the edge of the world, surrounded by different types of creatures.

The only power she gave him was the ability to speak and understand these creatures' languages, except Common, the language that humans use. Luckily, Tsukuyomi helped out in granting Makoto numerous powerful abilities. Makoto ends up being a special character with different kinds of abilities.

The ending theme feels more free and hopeful as compared to the opening theme. Nevertheless, it's still quite fitting to place into Makoto's perspective. Both the Japanese and English lyrics are available on the Dreamsland Lyrics by Nakari Amane website.
