Trailer for Netflix’s Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts is Adorable and Fantastic

DreamWorks TV has actually been doing a swell job when it comes to animated series, and later this month we'll be getting a new show in the form of Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts. Just in, a new trailer has dropped, and it gives us a wonderful look into this fantastic and colorful animated world.

Here's the official description:

When Kipo is separated from her family, she must learn to navigate a peculiar and dangerous surface world full of adorable, but deadly creatures! Luckily, she won't have to do it alone.

I have to say, the look of this show is actually pretty great, and I'm getting some serious Avatar: The Last Airbender and Teen Titans vibes. The humor is also particularly fun, and I'm imagining that music is also going to play an important part in the show.

What's interesting is that the lead of the show Kipo is voiced by Karen Fukuhara, and she actually voiced Glimmer in another DreamWorks show She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. You may also recognize her from her onscreen roles like Katana from Suicide Squad as well as The Female in Amazon's acclaimed series The Boys. Besides her, the show also has performances from Sterling K. Brown, Deon Cole, Joan Jett, and Dan Stevens.

We don't know how Kipo will fair once it premieres, but the show already looks fascinating from the trailer alone. Let's hope this will be a great year for animated shows on Netflix.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts is set to premiere on Netflix this coming Jan. 14.
