Tony Stark’s Father Reportedly Making His Way To Avengers 4

It looks like Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) father might actually be making his way to the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War.

Howard Stark may no longer be alive, but according to a report by That Hashtag Show word has it that John Slattery actually filmed a few scenes in Avengers 4 during the production of the second installment in Marvel's two-part Avengers movie.

The scenes were reportedly shot together with Downy Jr. on the set of Avengers 4, and while the idea of having Slatterly return for some scenes with Iron Man might be interesting, the publication cautions fans that the Mad Men star's scenes could potentially end up getting cut during post-production. Avengers 4 does have a huge cast, and directors Joe and Anthony Russo may want to condense the film once they reach the final edit.

Of course, fans ought to take the report with a grain of salt. Rumors can't be trusted, after all. However, if proven true, then it's possible that fans might get a flashback sequence in Infinity War's sequel. Or we could get a scene where Tony travels back in time to see his father. Who knows really. We're all just going to have to wait and see.

Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
