There is little doubt that the delay of Chaos Walking has been very disappointing for fans of the Patrick Ness book it is based on. However, it looks like we're finally getting some good news about the Tom Holland film. Lionsgate has just confirmed that the first trailer for the Daisy Ridley movie will be dropped this week.
The official Lionsgate Twitter account recently had an amusing interaction with the Chaos Walking Twitter account. It starts out with Lionsgate asking how the other is feeling, to which the movie account responds, "pretty good, just waking up. it's been 84 years."
Although this is an obvious dig at the long wait for the film's release, Lionsgate quickly answers, "Good, just in time. The Noise is coming." The Chaos Walking account appears to try and change the subject but the other account decides to get to the point right away.
"wish I was allowed to say more, but all we can tell you is the trailer comes this week," the tweet reads.
This is good news for anyone who has been hoping for an update on the movie. Although the exact release date was not revealed, fans should keep their eyes peeled for the trailer.
Chaos Walking was previously scheduled to be released on March 1, 2019. However, this has been delayed due to reshoots that also needed to be pushed back due to Holland's schedule. The film is currently set to hit theaters on January 22, 2021.
