If you're one of the millions of people who waited for the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer earlier this week then Tom Holland has a special message for you.
The highly anticipated trailer was finally revealed on January 15 and fans simply couldn't get enough of it. In fact, the teaser got a record-breaking 130 million views in the first 24 hours alone. It's a new record for Sony and Holland is absolutely thrilled with the fan reaction.
Holland took to his official Instagram account to thank his fans for their support. Take a look at his post below.
"The response to our first trailer has been through the roof. Thank you on behalf of @sonypicturesuk and @marvelstudios and most importantly myself. It means the world to me that you guys are picking up what we are putting down and I'm sure your [sic] gonna love this movie," Holland wrote before adding the hashtag #spidermanfarfromhome.
The synopsis for Far From Home reads as follows:
"Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter's plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks is quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!"
Sony actually dropped two Far From Home trailers on January 15. The international trailer features a different opening scene where Peter Parker's luggage is inspected. It is revealed that Aunt May made sure he packed his suit but the inspector isn't interested in the costume. "This, no," she says as she takes out a banana from his suitcase.
Spider-Man: Far From Home will premiere on July 5.
