Tom Holland Says Spider-Man: Far From Home Poster Actually Shows Tobey Maguire

The last thing that an actor would probably want is to realize they are not featured in their film's poster. That's sort of what happened to Tom Holland when he took one look at the Spider-Man: Far From Home poster and declared that it actually features original Spider-Man Tobey Maguire.

In an interview with BBC, Holland's co-stars Jacob Batalon and Zendaya were asked what are their favorite things about Britain. Interestingly, the two were stumped as Holland waited for them to declare that HE was their favorite thing about Britain. Batalon even went as far as looking at the Far From Home poster to see any clues then noticed something strange. "Does that even look like you?" he asks Holland.

"You know, it doesn't," the Chaos Walking star replied. "That poster makes me so upset. That's probably Tobey Maguire's body on my head. It's not even my body! I don't know why they did that."

Holland later pointed out that the studio probably wanted them to avoid talking about the poster. "Sony is freaking out right now," he said. "They're like, ‘please stop making fun of the posters.'"

Even if the cast didn't say anything about the posters, it still drew some criticism from fans who believed the posters were too generic. It got so intense that people started posting their own fan-made posters which were, let's be honest here, a lot better than the real thing.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently screening in theaters worldwide.
