Fans have come to love Tom Holland's version of Spider-Man. And with reports on the character no longer belonging to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans were deeply despaired.
Amidst the fans' hopes on Spider-Man's return in MCU, user EZRyderX47 made a "deepfake" video showing Tom Holland as Marty McFly in Back to the Future.
Back to the Future was released back in 1985 and was directed by Robert Zemeckis. It was the first of the franchise that is comprised of three movies. The story of McFly, a 17-year-old high school student, has been well received by millions of people over the world. The movie was considered a classic masterpiece and has been a favorite among the fans.
The movie follows McFly's journey on being accidentally sent thirty years in the past. He is guided by his close friend Doc Brown, who is an expert in time travel. The teen does not have the most pleasant of lives. He is always scolded by his principal, and has to deal with Biff, his dad's supervisor's bullying antics towards his father. With Marty zapped back into the past, he unintentionally gets involves in his (teenage) parents' romance. He must try to rekindle their love back whilst dealing with (teenage) Biff.
Much like Tom Holland, Michael J. Fox, received high remarks with his performance as McFly. Bringing these two together, a fan suggested to make a video replacing Fox as Holland. The user gladly accepted the request and delivered a well-crafted video.
The 2-minute clip shows Tom Holland as Marty McFly as he wanders around once he got sent into the past. It garnered positive reviews from the fans. Saying that they could totally see Holland as McFly in the event that the movie is remade.
With that said, Tom Holland's Spider-Man appearance has yet to be announced following the Sony and Disney deal.
