Tom Holland Faces Inner Demons and Robert Pattinson in The Devil All The Time Trailer

The Devil All The Time may not have the most wholesome story but it sure has a star-studded cast. The first trailer for the upcoming Netflix film puts the focus on Tom Holland's Arvin Russell as he battles his inner demons and Robert Pattinson's evil preacher.

The trailer opens with Arvin's family celebrating his birthday. As a present, he is given his father's gun which was brought back from the Vietnam War. Arvis is quick to say that he is happy with the present but the flashback to his father's time as a soldier suggests this isn't a pleasant memory.

We are immediately introduced to the other folks in town and Arvin's strange childhood is already teased. What happened to him when he was a little boy? It looks like some questionable people, like the town's preacher and a mysterious sheriff, are only a few who will affect his future.

The synopsis for The Devil All The Time reads as follows:

"In Knockemstiff, Ohio and its neighboring backwoods, sinister characters — an unholy preacher (Robert Pattinson), twisted couple (Jason Clarke and Riley Keough), and crooked sheriff (Sebastian Stan) — converge around young Arvin Russell (Tom Holland) as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family. Spanning the time between World War II and the Vietnam war, director Antonio Campos' THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME renders a seductive and horrific landscape that pits the just against the corrupted."

The Devil All The Time also stars Bill Skarsgård, Haley Bennett, Eliza Scanlen, and Mia Wasikowska. The film will premiere on Netflix on September 16.
