Tom Holland Comments on Uncharted Getting Delayed to Next Year

Sony's Uncharted movie has been going through more obstacles than Nathan Drake does in these video games. The movie has been in production hell for the longest time, only recently getting actors like Tom Holland and Mark Whalberg while constantly losing directors to helm the movie. Just when it seemed like things were going well, with Venom director Reuben Fletcher now directing the movie, the film itself had to stop production due to the Coronavirus.

Tom Holland, who most of us know due to the recent Spider-Man movies, recently commented on the latest Uncharted delay. Apparently, it was about to be his first day acting for the movie before the news about COVID-19 forced production to stop. Holland was then sent home and he decided to share this story in an Instagram Q and A that was covered by Heroic Hollywood.

It's a shame that we won't be seeing this Uncharted movie until 2021 but here's hoping that it ends up being a solid movie. The Uncharted movies lend themselves to an easy adaptation, clearly being inspired by Indiana Jones, and we're all looking forward to seeing them adapt this video game series.

Currently, Sony's Uncharted movie is scheduled for an October 8, 2021 release. Fans curious about the series can pick up Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection right now on the PS4. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is also available on Sony's top-selling gaming system.
