Tom Holland Already Pitched Spider-Man 4 to Sony

We're still waiting for the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home which is expected to be the final installment in the current trilogy. However, that doesn't mean Tom Holland is already looking for other franchises to work on. The Avengers: Endgame star has admitted that he has an awesome idea for Spider-Man 4. In addition to that, Holland has already pitched his idea to Sony Pictures!

Holland recently spoke to Fandom about his future as Peter Parker and not surprisingly, the Captain America: Civil War actor chose to be vague about his possible return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Spider-Man: No Way Home.

"You know, there is a future for Spider-Man — whether I'm a part of it, I don't know," Holland said. "It's been an incredible journey so far and if it's time for me to hang up the cape and let the next person take over, I will do that proudly knowing that I've achieved everything that I wanted to in this world."

Holland was quick to clarify his comments, adding that he is more than ready to play Spider-Man again.

"When I say this world I mean the MCU, I don't mean 'this world' like in the actual world. So yeah, I feel pretty good about the future of Spider-Man, and I'm happy to let someone else don the suit, but I also would love to squeeze back into that spandex again," he said.

It's great to know that Tom Holland is ready to play Peter Parker soon but what will happen to the character in his next film? Holland admitted he has a potentially spoiler-filled idea that he has already shared with Sony Pictures.

"There is one idea that I have, that I have pitched to the studio — but by telling you that idea I'd be ruining [No Way Home] so I'm going to have to keep that one for myself," Holland said.

That's an interesting tease and we might get a clue about it when the film finally hits theaters next week.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 17, 2021.
