Tom Holland Addresses Spider-Man: No Way Home's Fan Response: "The Thing That I'm the Happiest About"

We all know at this point that Spider-Man: No Way Home is a huge success at the box office and it is still leading the weekend box office even though it's already more than a month since the film was released. There are many reasons that we can point out why it has been a huge success whether it's the nostalgia or the audience just loving the film so much. Even with all the box office records that the film is breaking, for Tom Holland, all that matters for him is the fan response.

Per ComicBook.com, during an interview with The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, Holland addressed the fan response that the film has been getting in which he said that he values it more than the box office results.

"It's been a really interesting time. While we were making the film, we were all pretty confident that we had our hands on something really special but I don't think we could ever have known it would be as special as it has been," Holland said. "Take the box office out of the equation, the thing that I'm the happiest about and also the most proud of is how well-received the film has been from the fans. The videos of the fans watching the film in the theater when Andrew [Garfield] shows up and when Tobey [Maguire] shows up, and to feel that kind of nostalgic energy go through three different generations of cinema, has been very rewarding and an incredible thing to be a part of."

A lot of clips are currently surfacing online where you can see the audience reaction where Garfield and Maguire showed up, Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock made his appearance, and the villains made their entrance in which each of them was met with roaring applause from the audience. You can say that it is perhaps the reason why the film has been a huge success at the box office and a lot of audiences are going back to theaters just to see every single moment again.

There's no denial that Spider-Man: No Way Home meant a lot to the fans as it paid tribute to the 20-year history of the character's cinematic iteration and three generations of fans are coming together to celebrate this huge milestone that most people would never expect to happen. While the huge box office success speaks about the number of people who came to see it or watch it again multiple times, the roaring fan response speaks about how much they love the film.
