Spider-Man: No Way Home Concept Art Reveals Another Different Look at Jamie Foxx's Electro

As we all know at this point, Spider-Man: No Way Home has become a huge success at the box office and it was celebrated by fans because of the return of the characters from the past Spider-Man films. One of the characters who made their comeback is Jamie Foxx's Electro which fans did not expect due to the polarizing response to the character in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

In No Way Home, Electro was able to get a different look where he forgoes the all-blue look and became more comic-accurate and human-looking. Now, one of the film's concept artists Christian Cordella posted on Instagram a concept art that he made for Electro which revealed that one of the early designs for the character is for him to have a more militarized look while still maintaining the iconic "yellow" hue. "It was a lot of fun for me to create the 'electric' vibe of this character. Thanks always to costume designer Sanja Hays," he wrote in the caption. You can take a look here:

Of course, the final film ended up using the design where Electro has a more casual but confident look and it has the arc reactor which ignited his electric powers more. We can all pretty much agree that Foxx's look as Electro in No Way Home was definitely way better than how he looked in The Amazing Spider-Mann 2 and it was a welcomed upgrade as it made the character look more human and realistic compared to his body being all-blue.

It's always interesting to see the early concept arts of the films that we watch as it gives us an idea about some of the designs that the team had prior to production and see how it all changed during the final version that was released. Even if Electro didn't end up looking more militarized, it is definitely still better than The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
