Tom Hiddleston Reacts to New Footage from His Original Thor Audition

Tom Hiddleston is probably best known for playing the God of Mischief Loki in the Thor films, but if you do your research, you'll know that he originally auditioned to play the God of Thunder himself. What's interesting is, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon got their hands on some footage of Hiddleston's audition.

Check it out:

While we've had some footage of Hiddleston's Thor audition online for a while, this is the first time we actually get to hear him speak. I have to say, I'm so used to him playing Loki that it's kind of silly watching Hiddleston play Thor. If anything, he definitely got built for the part, and the other shots from the audition have him looking huge.

For now, Hiddleston is busy promoting his Broadway show Betrayal, which also includes the likes of Charlie Cox (Daredevil). Besides that, Hiddleston is also going to be the star of his own Disney+ show Loki, which is said to be focusing on the Loki that escapes with the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame. This is also just another rumor about the series, but it's said that Sophia Di Martino will be playing a female incarnation of Loki—just like in the comics.

Loki is set to come out in the spring of 2021. The first Marvel Disney+ show will be The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and it will drop on the streaming service in the fall of 2020.
