Tom Hardy Shows New Venom Film Behind-The-Scenes Look

Now that the holidays are over, Venom star Tom Hardy is back at work on his upcoming Marvel film, and he took it to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes photo of himself and producer Avi Arad. The photo shows Hardy wearing military garb with kneepads, which possibly confirms that the film is inspired by the Agent Venom storyline.

During Comic Con Experience 2017 in Sao Paulo Brazil, Hardy told fans that the storyline of the film will be inspired by the 1993 six-issue miniseries Venom: Lethal Protector. The storyline takes place after Venom and Spider-Man agree to a truce, and it follows Venom moving to San Francisco, California. Shortly after arriving there, he's hunted down in hopes of extracting the secrets of the symbiote. Eventually, five new symbiotes are created: Scream, Riot, Phage, Agony, and Lasher.

Riz Ahmed is rumored to play Carnage so the character might be added to the film.

Venom is set to release in theaters on October 5, 2018.
