Leah Remini’s Assistant Wants Tom Cruise To Be Her Arbitrator

Now, Leah Remini’s assistant, Valerie Haney, is involved in an ongoing feud against Scientology after she filed a lawsuit against the religion in 2019. And according to Radar Online, Haney wants Tom Cruise to serve as an arbitrator in her case since Elisabeth Moss already declined the role.

According to Haney, she signed a billion-year contract with Scientology when she was just 15 years old that stated that she would be committed to the religion’s goal. During her time in Scientology, Haney also alleged that she was asked to do manual labor every day.

She eventually escaped but Scientology officials asked her to sign a document and she was forced to do so even without regarding the contents of the papers.

“During the routing out process, I was made to sign the departure documents in a room with only Scientology’s general counsel and a man armed with a gun. I do not know any of the contents of the documents I signed. I was not given copies of the documents. I signed any document that was given to me because I just wanted it to be over and to get out of there,” Haney said.

After appearing on Remini’s show, Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, a video centered on criticizing Haney was also released. And the actress’s assistant is convinced that the church officials were the ones who had Valerie Haney: Leah’s Paid Liar made.

In their response to Haney’s lawsuit, Scientology officials demanded that the dispute be raised to the church’s internal religious arbitration process. This means that Scientologists will continue to headline the proceedings but Haney has also been allowed to pick one representative from the church.

The church will also pick a member of the religion and then those two people that Haney and Scientology would appoint would pick a third representative from the religion.

According to reports, Haney’s first choice was Moss, but the actress already denied the post. So, Haney is now eyeing the Top Gun: Maverick actor to help her with her case.

And if Cruise would also decline, Haney’s third choice is Shelly Miscavige, the wife of David Miscavige, who is the leader of the church.

Remini previously alleged that Shelly went missing after she left the religion in 2007. However, authorities dismissed the actress’s inquiry after claiming that Shelly was doing fine.
