July 15, 2008 — a week has passed since the War of the Three Deities happened, which included the deaths of two people: Draken and South Terano. Takemichi is still recovering in the hospital. Numerous friends visit him, while Hina is consistently by his side. Hina momentarily leaves the room to buy some stuff. In the meantime, more members of the Tokyo Manji Gang pay Takemichi a visit. Angry, Smiley, and the others apologize to Takemichi for not knowing what happened with Draken. They empathize with him, saying that he's probably the one who's experiencing the most pain right now. They also tell him that if he needs anything, they will be able to help.
Takemichi thanks them but tells them that he's going to be okay. Takemichi tells himself that he doesn't want to involve anyone else anymore, so he vows to protect everyone on his own. Hina returns and tells Takemichi how his friends were still visiting him even when he was unconscious. She tells him that he's blessed to have great friends who are worried about him. However, Takemichi blames himself for what happened, which is why he wants to handle the rest by himself.
Hina isn't convinced that Takemichi is okay. She hugs him and tells him that it's okay to let it all out and cry. Everything that has happened is painful. Takemichi listens to Hina's words and starts crying.
