Tokyo Revengers by Ken Wakui is a shōnen manga series created in 2017. It is currently being serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine. The anime adaptation by Liden Films currently has one season, which concluded last September 2021.
Tokyo Revengers Chapter 227 Recap and Summary
We find out that South, known as Minami Terano, grew up in the slums of Brazil. His mother is bedridden, so the way he could only entertain himself was with an out-of-tune piano. A gangster named Dino took care of his mother and, in turn, taught him about violence. As a kid, he killed Dino's enemies for him. He's also the one who gave him the name South. After receiving money from Dino, he bought himself shoes, which made him realize the benefits of engaging in violent acts.
When he was 12, he killed Dino. Then, he created his own gang called Dino South. At the age of 14, an enemy gang attacked his home and killed his mother. With no parents to take care of him, South moved back to Japan to live with his grandparents. In 2006, At the boys' juvenile detention center, his companion tells him about the Kanto incident and Yokohama Tenjiku. South realizes that if he beats up the top guys, he'll become the number one person of Kanto. A year later, South was released, and that's also when he created Rokuhara Tandai. In a conversation with Ran, South says that he wants Kakucho to join the gang. Ran says Kakucho isn't going to listen to him, but South is confident about it. After a fight between the two, Kakucho admits defeat.
Waka and Benkei seem to be surprised with the "Unparalleled South" and his strength. Kakucho looks over at the ongoing fight. He thinks that even though Waka and Benkai are first-generation Black Dragon's strongest duo, they're not going to be able to defeat South.
