Toei Animation President Praises Dragon Ball Super: Broly

As we wait for months to pass by so we can watch Dragon Ball Super: Broly, there are some who are worried that it won't live up to expectations. Fans of the franchise know this too well since Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama can be pretty hit-or-miss and most of us are already sad that Dragon Ball Minus will be a part of Broly.

However, it seems like there's some hope to be had as Toei Animation president Tatsuya Nagamine has praised the movie. Granted, it is a part of Toei's line-up of anime films so Nagamine might just be doing this for good PR but it's something at least. Plus, he does provide interesting details so he might actually provide a decent review. Fans can check out a translation of it below.

This should reassure fans that the movie will be good, or at the least, a decent enough Dragon Ball adventure. While not perfect, most of us were pretty sad that Super decided to end after the Tournament of Power since we're desperate to see these characters after the 10-year gap when Goku meets Uub. It seems like Toriyama and Toei still have stories to tell, let's just hope they're good ones.

With flashbacks to the past, Dragon Ball Super: Broly will give us a great look at how the Saiyans were like before and after Freeza took their planet over. It's revealed that Broly is exiled from Planet Vegeta for unknown reasons, while Bardock and his wife decide to send Goku off to Earth Superman-style.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly comes out in Japan this December and hits American theaters on January.
