Titans: Second Trailer Gives Us Lighter Moments, Teases Why Robin Left Batman

DC Universe and Netflix have released a second trailer for Titans, the first original live-action series for DCU. It seems like DC and Warner Bros. have learned quite a bit from the first trailer, as the second one is a solid improvement over the first, without any of the forced edginess that plagued the first one. While still relatively dark, it should get the attention of those that didn't like the first one.

This trailer sets up a number of subplots that will be in the series, like Robin suddenly appearing in Bludhaven, why he and Batman went their separate ways, Raven's exorcism-like problems, and more. We also get a couple of lighter moments, like Beast Boy introducing himself to Raven and the two complimenting each other's hair.

Fans hoping Starfire would get a better costume should keep dreaming, but she does get a few cool moments here. The trailer even teases a raunchy moment between her and Robin, which seemed inevitable given how this series is going to appeal to mature viewers. Don't worry, there is plenty of other kinds of action involved, including plenty of fists and Robin's staff.

Wow, that sounds dirty.

Most intriguing however is the encounter between Robin and Dove, who not only knows Robin's identity but Batman's as well. When she asks Dick why he left, he simply states that the two view crime fighting differently now. Definitely better than "F*&k Batman."

Warner Bros. Television's highly anticipated, live-action dramatic adventure series, Titans will be the first original series to launch on the upcoming DC Universe, the first-of-its-kind digital subscription service that gives fans access to exclusive content and experiences not available anywhere else. The series debuts in DC Universe on October 12.
