Now that we've come full circle with Asher once again meeting the little girl, Nala, who supposedly 'cursed' him in the series, we find out a little more about what the 'curse' actually is. Is Tiny Curse an actual TikTok trend in Nathan Fielder's The Curse series?
Nathan Fielder's The Curse Explained
To give some of you a little refresher, the first episode of Paramount's The Curse began with Whitney and Asher Siegel moving from the city to Española, New Mexico where they plan on making their Flipanthropy show.
While capturing some 'realistic' shots to feature on their show, Asher came across a little girl named Nala (Hikmah Warsame) who was selling soda. Since he knew he had to give her money for the cameras, he 'lent' her a $100 bill.
Nala didn't understand that Asher wanted to bring her spare change instead of a full hundred-dollar bill. This leads her to tell him, "I curse you," out of context. Soon after, Asher experienced paranoia, thinking the girl actually cursed him.
As the official synopsis for The Curse reads:
Whitney (Emma Stone) and Asher (Nathan Fielder) Siegel are a newlywed couple struggling to bring their vision for eco-conscious housing to the small community of Española, New Mexico. But their efforts are complicated when an eccentrically flawed reality TV producer, Dougie, sees opportunity in their story. As the series unfolds, the couple find themselves caught in a mysterious web of ethical and moral gray zones - all while trying to keep their relationship afloat.
A24's newest thriller series just released its third episode titled, Questa Lane, which brings Nala, the girl who appeared to have 'cursed' Asher back into the fold.
In this recent episode, Nala reveals a crucial detail on what the 'tiny curse' she planted on the Siegel family really is.

Is Tiny Curse A Real TikTok Trend?
If there's anything kids these days end up following or emulating, it's most likely going to be a trend from TikTok. It would seem that The Curse is no different.
While Asher had been speculating that Nala intentionally 'cursed' him, the kid doesn't seem to have any supernatural abilities. So, here's what really happened.
"That's why I tiny-cursed him," Nala told Whitney when they visited her house. Of course, this led to Whitney asking what the 'tiny curse' was all about, even though she claimed she didn't believe in it.
The show explained, "It's a trend that everyone was doing two months ago, but no one does it anymore." Apparently, all they had to do was 'think of something small' to 'tiny-curse' someone. Hence, the name.
In Nala's case, here's what she 'tiny-cursed' about Asher: "I took the chicken out of his dinner."
Asher then had to wrap his head around it, telling Nala that they coincidentally 'missed' chicken from their dinner on the day she 'tiny-cursed' him.
The 'tiny curse' doesn't exactly exist on TikTok, nor is it a trend as the show introduced. If anything, this remains a fictional thing. It might just be Asher overthinking the impact of Nala's words, that this 'trend' was merely created to keep their story going... or is it?
