Isn't it strange that Dune will be hitting theaters in December but we have yet to get the first trailer for the film? Luckily, the wait isn't too long. Timothee Chalamet has just confirmed that the first teaser for the Denis Villeneuve movie will be released later this month.

A fan recently reached out to Chalamet on Twitter saying that they are celebrating their birthday and were hoping to get an update on Dune. Amazingly, the Call Me By Your Name actor responded with some awesome news. Take a look at his tweet below.

That's right, the trailer will be dropped before September so that could be anytime between today and August 30. That is until something comes up and Warner Bros. decides to delay the marketing campaign for Dune.

It's understandable why fans have been worried and hoping for updates on Dune. After all, the movie is still scheduled to premiere before the end of the year and yet Warner Bros. hasn't been promoting it. On the other hand, we might get some promos in the next few weeks.

Dune will adapt the first of Frank Herbert's book series, which will be split into three different films. Villeneuve made sure that he would be allowed to explore the story in several movies in an effort to truly bring the world of Arrakis to life.

The film will also star Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa and Javier Bardem. Dune hits theaters on December 18.
