Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany gave fans a different side of her after joining the Reborn Rich cast, teaming up with Song Joong Ki.

Interestingly, the JTBC series is her K-drama debut, making it her first big role on the small screen.

In the revenge drama series, Tiffany Young took the role of Jin Do Joon (Song Joong Ki) and Oh Se Hyun’s (Park Hyuk Kwon) colleague Rachel Green, the financial analyst at Miracle Investment.

Like Se Hyun, she also agreed to be a part of Jin Do Joon’s plan to become Soonyang Group’s largest shareholder. However, little did they know that this is all part of Do Joon’s revenge plan against the conglomerate.

Girls’ Generation Tifanny Gains Criticsms Because of Her Way of Speaking in Reborn Rich

The Girls’ Generation member first appeared in Reborn Rich episode 3 along with Park Hyuk Kwon’s character.

Playing the role of Korean - American, Tiffany Young had lines both in English and Korean; however, viewers thought that her Korean “sounded awkward.”

Despite the lack of screen time, viewers noticed her accent but some came to her defense and pointed out that “the way she speaks suits her character as an overseas Korean.”

Girls’ Generation Tifanny ‘Honored’ to be Part of Reborn Rich

However, amid the criticisms, the singer-actress is still honored to be part of Reborn Rich.

After the JTBC series wrapped up the season with a successful finale, Girls’ Generation’s Tifanny talks about her experience and thoughts about the drama including the viewers’ feedback regarding her acting.

As obtained by AllKpop, the 33-year-old beauty says she is “grateful” that viewers are curious about her character.

“ When I first met Rachel, I really thought that she was a character of infinite possibilities. So I'm just so grateful that the viewers are able to ask questions like, 'Where did Rachel go?' and 'What is Rachel doing now?',” she said.

On the other hand, she also responded to the negative feedback regarding her performance in Reborn Rich.

While some raised that her acting felt like a "disturbance" in the drama, she thinks of it as an evaluation and not as an attack on her personally.

She pointed out that being a rookie actress, she must know how to take orders and trust their judgment, especially from the director.

"As a performer, I'm always open to the suggestions of audiences and viewers. I always try to take the suggestions into consideration, and think, 'My decision there was received differently', or 'I'll try it differently next time,’” she said.

With her thoughts about Reborn Rich being her first big K-drama stint, she sees it as a “great learning material” for herself.

She is interested in ways how she could improve her acting and “Become more deeply engrossed in the story."
