Thor’s Lady Sif May Return To The MCU In Future Films

It's been a while since Marvel fans have seen Lady Sif in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The last time we've seen Jaimie Alexander in the MCU was in Thor: The Dark World, the sequel to the first Thor standalone movie released back in 2011.

Now, speaking with fans in an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, Marvel Studios executive producer Victoria Alonso hints at the return of Alexander. In the AMA session, Alonso was asked whether Marvel had any plans to bring Sif back to the franchise. Unlike the Warriors Three, Sif is still pretty much alive and out there – though we're not exactly sure where the Asgardian warrior is.

Though the Marvel producer couldn't reveal much, Alonso didn't rule out the appearance of Sif.

"Never say never. We love Sif the character as we do our actress, Jaimie Alexander," the producer replied on Reddit.

Lady Sif has been a popular MCU side character and Marvel originally planned to bring the warrior back in Thor: Ragnarok. Unfortunately, Alexander's work in the NBC series Blindspot didn't give her room to film for the Taika Waititi standalone movie.

We're not quite sure how Marvel might bring Sif back now that the MCU's moving towards Phase 4 of the franchise, but odds are that we'll see her with the rest of the Asgardians living on Earth. That, or we'll spot her in some other planet in space. Who knows, the Guardians of the Galaxy + Thor (Chris Hemsworth) might even bump into her in one of their adventures. Let's just wait and see.

Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in cinemas.
