Thor: Love and Thunder Trailer Reveals Gorr's First Victim

There are a lot of things to be excited about in the first Thor: Love and Thunder teaser. After all, it's the first time we're seeing the God of Thunder again and we also got an awesome glimpse at Jane Foster as the Mighty Thor. However, fans were also disappointed that the teaser didn't give us our first look at Gorr the God Butcher in action. Still, the video featured a stunning glimpse at one of Gorr's first victims!

The first teaser for Thor: Love and Thunder pretty much confirmed that the God of Thunder is ready to retire and live a peaceful life. However, there is one scene where Thor and Korg encounter the gigantic corpse of what appears to be a dinosaur or a dragon or even Jormungandr.

It might look like a regular giant reptile but the corpse actually belongs to a god. This is Falligar the Behemoth, the Patron god of the Galactic Frontier and champion god of the Tournament of Immortals. The character first appeared in Thor: God of Thunder #3 and although Thor doesn't know why Falligar has died, he later discovers that the Behemoth was killed by Gorr the God Butcher.

It's a cool yet tragic reference to the comic books considering that the scene really looks like the panel in the issue with the exception of Korg being in the shot. Nevertheless, this could be the moment that Thor realizes that someone is out there determined to get rid of all the gods.

Thor: Love and Thunder is directed by Taika Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel. The film was originally set to premiere in November last year but has since been pushed back to a later release date on July 8, 2022.
