It's an awesome new look and one that some fans were not expecting in the sequel. However, it's a perfect fit for the 80s themed poster and it even goes well with the trailer which features Guns N' Roses' hit song Sweet Child O'Mine.

So what can we expect in Love and Thunder? Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Thor decides that his superheroing days are over and attempts to find inner peace. However, this is interrupted when Gorr the God Butcher threatens to eliminate all gods. In an effort to stop the threat before it's too late, Thor recruits the newly-appointed king of New Asgard Valkyrie and Korg. He also finds himself reunited with Jane Foster, who has become the Mighty Thor.

Thor: Love and Thunder is directed by Taika Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel. The film was originally set to premiere in November last year but has since been pushed back to a later release date on July 8, 2022.
