Chris Hemsworth is set to break the record for the only Avenger to have a fourth standalone film. Announced in San Diego Comic-Con 2019, bringing back director Taika Waititi to helm the fourth Thor film. However, both release dates of Thor: Love and Thunder and filming dates were delayed multiple times due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Eventually, it was reported that the film already wrapped up productions earlier last year and now, with more than four months before its initial release date, any teasers or trailers about the film are still nowhere to be seen. According to a new report by The Ankler's Jeff Sneider (via The Direct), Thor: Love and Thunder is currently undergoing some reshoots for Bale's Gorr, in Manhattan Beach California. Sneider also revealed that the ongoing reshoots are mainly the reason why the film's trailer has not yet been released to the public.

Reshoots are very common with any film, especially in the MCU. Even the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel was reportedly doing some reshoots in recent months. These reshoots are not much of a concern, though it remains a mystery what Taika Waititi is trying to incorporate into Bale's Gorr villain.

While Thor: Love and Thunder hasn't released any promotional material yet, such as trailers and teasers, it's safe to assume that Marvel Studios is currently on board with their latest projects, Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight and the upcoming Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness.

Given the ongoing reshoots, Thor: Love and Thunder is still pushing a scheduled release date, July 8 of 2022.
