Thor: Love and Thunder Fanart Imagines Natalie Portman as the Mighty Thor

Natalie Portman may have bowed out of the MCU since Thor: The Dark World, but she's now signed up to be the new Thor in Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder. The movie is still taking a while to start production, but BossLogic has given us his take on what Portman could look like as ‘The Mighty Thor.'

What's cool is, BL has also taken a shot of Portman from V for Vendetta to show Jane Foster's supposed state of cancer. In the comics, Jane is diagnosed with a terminal illness but is granted a second chance by channeling the powers of Thor and becoming a superhuman.

We don't know what kind of take Taika Waititi has with Thor: Love and Thunder, but I would hope that he can channel his more serious tones when it comes to the film. Though a lot of people loved Thor: Ragnarok, I think it missed a lot of the "humanity" of Waititi's previous films like Boy or Hunt for the Wilderpeople; even What We Do in the Shadows seemed more authentic.

For now, Waititi is set to work on Next Goal Wins for Fox Searchlight, afterwards, it's back to Marvel to work on Love and Thunder. We don't have to wait too long for his next movie though, as we're going to see the release of Jojo Rabbit later this year.
