Taika Waititi has Already Completed the Script for Thor: Love and Thunder

It was announced recently that Taika Waititi would be working on another movie before jumping back to Marvel for Thor: Love and Thunder, but it looks like he won't be significantly delayed by the segway.

As Deadline reports, Waititi has already completed the script for Love and Thunder. We don't have any specific details on what the plot will be, but with the script done, we know his next Fox Searchlight film won't heavily delay his work on Thor 4.

Meanwhile, for Waititi's next movie, the film is said to be called Next Goal Wins, and it's based on a 2014 British Football documentary which followed coach Thomas Rongen as he attempts to turn the American Somoa soccer team into winners. Here's the trailer:

Though a lot of people love Thor: Ragnarok, I personally thought it was not one of Waititi's best, being a fan of his previous films. I think he shines the best when it comes to his more human stories. Jojo Rabbit looks a lot closer to his signature style, and I think it would be the same when it comes to Next Goal Wins.

We don't have a release date for NGW, but after this, we know that Waititi will be off to work on Thor: Love and Thunder with Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, and Chris Hemsworth; Thor 4 is expected to hit theaters Nov. 5, 2021.

In the meantime, you can catch Waititi's Nazi satire movie Jojo Rabbit when it hits theaters Oct. 18.
