Thor 4 Concept Art Reveals Look at the Grandmaster's Deleted Scene

Prior to the release of the film, there were reports that Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster, Peter Dinklage's Eitri, and Lena Headey's mysterious character were supposed to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder before their scenes were left on the cutting room floor. Since then, there have been questions about what their appearances in the film would have looked like.

Laurent Ben-Mimoum, who worked as an illustrator on Thor: Love and Thunder, recently posted on Instagram a concept art from the film which unveils our look at the Grandmaster's deleted scene. He can be seen in a broken-down Sakaarian ship and standing nearby a figure who is repairing a gadget and the decapitated head of Korg.

Based on the artwork, it looks like the scene is set after Thor, Jane, Valkyrie, and Korg's trip to Omnipotence City where they battled the gods resulting in the decapitation of Korg's body. However, as we all know now, they eventually decided to cut the scene which left the Grandmaster nowhere to be found in the film.

It is unknown yet if the missing characters' deleted scenes will eventually show up in the home video release of the film in the special features section. A lot of fans are definitely interested to see what their appearances in the film would have looked like before they were removed.

While it is disappointing that the characters didn't end up showing in the film, it does leave the door open for them to make their return in a future MCU project since they are still alive at this point and Marvel Studios might have more plans for them which could explain why they were removed from the film.
