Thief Who Stole Magic: The Gathering Cards Was An Inside Job, According to Police

A thief broke into at the Sacramento apartment of Kayla Bridges a few weeks ago, and stole her Magic: The Gathering collection, CBS13 reports.

According to the report, Bridges hid in her closet and waited for the thief to leave, and when she came out, she noticed that part of her valuable "Magic Cards" collection was gone. She said that the card collection that the thief stole are worth thousands of dollars.

Over on Twitter, Bridges said that her red DEX binder of modern staples and her box of random staples were stolen, and she listed the cards included in her stolen collection.

Bridges travels around the U.S. to join Magicfest events, and she's known throughout the card-playing community, and according to the report, police say that's why this theft was most likely done by someone she knows.

The thief didn't steal any other valuable possessions, just the Magic cards, police say. According to Bridges, the thief probably knew what playing cards she owned and where they were.
