The PS4 exclusive Spider-Man game promises to bring a lot of Marvel villains to the fray, and one of them is Daredevil's nemesis Wilson Fisk a.k.a. The Kingpin. As it turns out, there's a pretty neat connection between the game's Kingpin and Marvel Netflix's version of the character.
A post on Imgur points out that Spider-Man's Kingpin is sporting the same cufflinks that the Netflix Kingpin wears. In Daredevil, Kingpin has a sort of obsession with his cufflinks, and they're deeply tied to his character.
We don't know if any of that will be translated into the game, but based on just hearing Spider-Man Kingpin's voice, it sounds like he's trying to replicate the speech mannerisms of live-action Fisk, Vincent D'Onofrio.
Since Spider-Man is already chockfull of villains, I'm guessing that Kingpin is only going to be a side-villain this time around. There's still the mystery bad guy that was teased in the gameplay trailer, and I don't think it would be wise if they made Kingpin upstage a team-up like the Sinister Six.
Spider-Man is a PS4 exclusive, and it hits shelves Sept.7.
