The Witcher Star Henry Cavill Teases Season 2 Production Start


The first season of The Witcher is over and fans are understandably eager to get started on the next chapter of the Netflix series. Luckily, Henry Cavill has just confirmed that he's getting ready to put on that silver wig really soon.

Cavill posted a video on his official Instagram account to share how he has spent the holidays. The Justice League star then revealed that The Witcher Season 2 is about to begin pre-production. Watch the video below.

"Hello, everybody. I'm back. I have been enjoying my Christmas break – perhaps a little too much at some points – but now it's back to work," Cavill said. "Pre-production will be starting very shortly on Witcher Season 2."

The awesome update isn't the only thing in the video. Cavill also took the time to thank the fans who watched the series and promised that he would be keeping his followers updated on Season 2. He even teased that he would be sharing more "cardio" videos that usually get him prepared for his role as Geralt of Rivia.

Cavill didn't specify when exactly he will start filming for the second season but it's safe to say that he will be posting new updates on the series really soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Although the second season of The Witcher is expected to begin production soon, it will still be a long wait for Geralt's return. Netflix has already confirmed that the series will not be back until next year.
