The Witcher Season 2 Trailer Hinted on the Upcoming Dangers and Geralt's Fate

Netflix releases a new teaser trailer for The Witcher season 2. The teaser unveils the first look at Henry Cavill's return as Geralt of Rivia for the second season of the series. The well-known series is based on the novels written by Polish novelist Andrzej Sapkowski and the popular game developed by CD Projekt Red.

Season 2's production schedule was previously hampered due to Cavill's injury on the set of the series, as well as the delays caused by COVID-19. The second season finally finished filming last April 2021. The streaming platform has started promotion for the series' release.

Netflix's new trailer for The Witcher season 2 showed some cryptic flashes of upcoming dangers to come. It showed the first look of Geralt in the upcoming second season of the film.

The new teaser also hinted at Geralt's fate. The 12-second teaser showed multiple scenes that went by rapidly. It caught glimpses of Geralt, Witcher medallions, runes, snow, weapons, skeletons, and there might even be another bath scene in this new season. It also showed the dangers that Geralt may face in season 2.

This is not the first teaser that Netflix has released as a previous teaser showcased Ciri or Princess Cirilla. The second season will have Geralt bringing the princess to Kaer Morhen where he will protect her from the power she possesses as other beings strive for supremacy outside the castle.

Aside from season 2's teaser, there will be a WitcherCon event hosted by Netflix and CD Projekt Red in July. The event will bring exclusive announcements for both the series and the video game.

The Witcher season 2 has no official release date but is slated to be released before 2021 ends.
