Following the success of the first season of The Witcher, fans are excited to see what's to come in season two. The series has already adapted stories from Andrej Sapkowski's The Last Wish and the Sword of Destiny. However, fans also would have wanted to see A Grain of Truth in season one, and it looks like an actor has already been cast to play the lead character for that story.

According to Redanian Intelligence, Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju has been reportedly cast to play Nivellen in the second season of The Witcher. The site says the casting breakdown of the latest season shows the actor being cast as Nigel. There have always been codenames for characters of the show to avoid spoilers. In this case, Nigel is a codename for Nivellen.

The site also pointed out that the character description fits Nivellen. He is described as someone who is charismatic, witty, and a funny man. Nivellen is from an aristocratic family and was cursed because of the crimes he did in the past. The part was also said to be "physically demanding" and requires a "great emotional range."

The casting sheet was also mentioned by the site, which reveals that the character will be appearing only on the opening episode of season two.

Hivju is best known for his work on the hit series Game of Thrones where he played the part of Tormund Giantsbane. He was introduced in the show's third season and has since been a prominent character until the end of the series.

A Grain of Truth is a story where Geralt discovers a manor where the cursed man lives. It is a story that functions independently which could explain why it wasn't included yet in the first season. With the main characters and their stories established in season one, it looks like fans would finally get to see it in the upcoming season.

The Witcher Season 2 is expected to be released sometime in 2021
