The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf Character Posters Reveal New Details About Anime Series

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf will finally premiere next week and we just got some awesome character posters for the upcoming anime series. In addition to that, there are new details about Vesemir and the other new characters that will be introduced in the highly anticipated Netflix show.

We already know that Vesemir will be the main protagonist in the Witcher spin-off which takes place several years before the main live-action series. However, the new character posters also shed some light on the characters who will be working with Geralt of Rivia's future mentor. Check them out below.

We also learn that Tetra Gilcrest is a sorceress who is determined to "keep peace on the Continent by ensuring that magic is not abused" while Deglan is the leader of the witchers who is "committed to doing whatever is necessary to protect his 'boys'."

It is likewise confirmed that Filavandrel is a good friend of Vesemir before the former elf king was introduced in the first season of The Witcher. There's an interesting detail about Vesemir's childhood as well, which could have driven him to become a witcher.

All of these new characters are truly intriguing and are expected to play important roles that will shape the Continent that we have already seen in the main series. There is little doubt that there will also be plenty of Easter eggs and references to look forward to in the upcoming show.

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf will feature the voices of Theo James, Lara Pulver, Graham McTavish, and Mary McDonnell. The series will premiere on Netflix on August 23, 2021.
