The Witcher is Now Highest Rated Series on Netflix

It's no secret that people are loving The Witcher and its awesome depiction of Andrzej Sapkowski's books. Not surprisingly, this has led to the fantasy show becoming the highest-rated Netflix series so far.

According to Forbes, The Witcher was rated at 8.9 on IMDb's ratings of Top Netflix Original Series. It's an amazing feat considering that the streaming service has come up with some truly awesome shows since its launch.

Although it would have been cool for The Witcher to remain at the top, it has been revealed that the rating has gone down to 8.8. Nevertheless, the Henry Cavill series is still one of the highest-rated shows along with Black Mirror, Narcos, and House of Cards. This means it still beats The Crown and Better Call Saul, which are both rated 8.7.

The Witcher has been getting rave reviews from viewers who can't get enough of Cavill's portrayal of Geralt of Rivia. In addition to that, people are already comparing the show to Game of Thrones and are hoping that it would last as long as the HBO series. For now, we know that a second season is being developed so we're waiting for any updates in the future.

Despite the great reactions to The Witcher, there have also been mixed reviews from critics. Interestingly, showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich has blasted critics who have been giving the series half-hearted reviews that may have affected its viewership. Nevertheless, it looks like fans will continue watching the show.

The Witcher is currently streaming on Netflix.
