The Walking Dead Star Scott Wilson Filmed Season 9 Scenes Before His Death

The world is still mourning the passing of Scott Wilson. Nevertheless, it looks like we will see the veteran actor reprise his role as Hershel Greene in The Walking Dead Season 9.

Wilson died on Saturday, October 6 after a long battle with leukemia. However, the former X-Files star managed to get some work done prior to his passing. According to ComicBook.com, Wilson has already filmed scenes for The Walking Dead Season 9. There is a possibility that Hershel will appear in a flashback sequence alongside Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal) and Sasha Williams (Sonequa Martin-Green).

Wilson's TWD co-stars have paid tribute to the late actor. Laurie Holden, who worked with him in the second season, posted a photo with Wilson along with a touching caption.

Holden wrote, "Today we lost one of the finest human beings myself and so many others have ever known. Scott Wilson was pure love, kindness, elegance & grace. He had the ability to make me smile on the darkest of days. He was pure LOVE. I will miss him for the rest of my life. #RIPScottWilson." Khary Payton, who never got to share a scene with the late actor, shared his experience about meeting Wilson and his amazing advice.

Payton wrote, "The first time I met Scott Wilson, he gave me a big hug and said that this thing I had become apart of... was a family. He said I had a responsibility to take care of it. I have tried very hard to do that, sir. & I will continue. I promise. See you on the other side, my friend." Needless to say, Wilson will truly be missed by everyone.

Wilson's episode in The Walking Dead Season 9 has not yet been revealed. Nevertheless, we can expect to see his final performance as an actor when the series returns on AMC on October 7.
