The Walking Dead just ended with a major cliffhanger this Sunday, but that doesn't mean fans will be lacking in adventures related to the show while waiting for the next season.

A new Walking Dead-based attraction will soon be put up at Universal Studios Hollywood that would be an improvement over the Halloween Horror Nights attraction offered by the theme park. That's not the only thing that fans of the AMC hit series can get excited about.

According to Cinema Blend, Universal has revealed at Wondercon that the series' showrunner, Greg Nicotero, will be involved in the project. Nicotero's company is reportedly working on animatronics and live performers that will make the attraction that much more realistic.

In addition, IGN notes that The Walking Dead attraction will showcase actual scenes from the TV show's six seasons. As of this moment, there's no telling what those scenes could be since there has been no official word from Universal. However, it's certain that the "Don't Open, Dead Inside" sign will be incorporated in the Universal Studios Hollywood attraction.

Universal has been known to feature rides based on popular movies like Fast & Furious, Shrek, Jurassic Park, and Harry Potter. Most of the rides have relied on digital imagery for the most part. What's sounds great about The Walking Dead attraction is how the attraction will not only feature several important moments from the series, but that live performers will be involved, which will make it a still a new experience for the park's visitors.

The Walking Dead attraction in Universal Studios Hollywood will arrive this summer.

The show has been renewed for a Season 7.
