The Vorthos Cast Reveals The Process of Building a Flavor-Fueled Commander Deck For Kroxa, Titan of Hunger

"Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger" is one of the best Magic: The Gathering cards from Theros Beyond Death to build a Commander deck around, but since the character has almost no established lore, it can be a challenging to select the most thematically-fitting cards for the legendary red-black elder giant. In the latest episode of The Vorthos Cast podcast, the hosts talk about the process of how to build a flavor-fueled deck for Kroxa.

Kroxa only has two cards in the set where the character is featured in (the other is "Binding of Titans", which can't be included in a Kroxa Commander deck), so it's not easy to find cards for a flavor-fueled Kroxa deck, so Chris said that they're focused on building around themes of hunger and consumption since Kroxa is the "Fear of Hunger", so he used Scryfall, an MTG database/tool, to search for cards that use words like "hunger", "consume", and other words related to eating. He went on to Since Kroxa sacrifices itself when you play it, the Vorthos Cast talked about cards that give value when cards are sacrificed.
