The Uncanny Counter 2 is bringing Extraordinary Attorney Woo actor Kang Ki Young on board.

Out of all the supporting roles he played, Kang Ki Young’s participation in the ENA series Extraordinary Attorney Woo stirred the most buzz so far. He played the role of attorney Jung Myeong Seok in the series, Woo Young Woo’s colleague in Hanbada Law Firm.

Following his appearance in the series, Kang Ki Young will be part of a huge franchise, The Uncanny Counter, for its second season.

Kang Ki Young Joins The Uncanny Counter 2

Multiple Korean news outlets shared the good news about The Uncanny Counter installment.

On Wednesday, Sports DongA first reported the news about Kang Ki Young joining the cast members of the hit Netflix series. Although his character has not been named yet, it was revealed that he would play a different character than the one he had in Extraordinary Attorney Woo.

He will reportedly have a 180-degree image change, hinting at a potential antagonist role.

Aside from Kang Ki Young, Jin Seon Kyu is also confirmed to appear in the series.

More Details About The Uncanny Counter 2

The Uncanny Counter tells the story of the demon hunters, who are known as counters, as they disguise themselves as employees in a noodle restaurant. The counters hunt down demons who come to Earth to live eternal life.

OCN and Netflix revealed after airing its last episode on Jan. 24, 2021, that they would release The Uncanny Counter Season 2. Details and plot of the second season remain unknown.

However, South China Morning Post reported that the talks were already underway last year and that the recording had already started in September. It added that the series aims to be released early this year.

There is no confirmation yet about whether the original cast members will also return.
