Netflix has released a new collection of character posters in preparation for The Umbrella Academy Season 3, and they hint at the title team being more strong than ever.
The Hargreeves, a group of seven children born on the same day, at the same time, and under the same enigmatic circumstances as 36 other children around the world, is the center of The Umbrella Academy. This strange occurrence drew the attention of Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore), a scientist and billionaire who set out to adopt as many of the children as he could, although he only ended up with seven.
Reginald trained the kids and founded The Umbrella Academy as they developed superpowers, but their journey has been marred by tragedy, with one of them dying on a mission and Reginald not being a good father in general.
The Umbrella Academy Season 3: More Powerful Than Ever
After failing to avert the end of the world at the end of Season 1, the gang jumped to 1960s Dallas, Texas, to save themselves and prevent another apocalypse, which they achieved successfully.
However, in the present day (2019), Reginald is still alive, the world hasn't ended, and their team no longer exists, because Reginald founded The Sparrow Academy, which includes Ben (Justin H. Min), the original team's deceased sibling. Even if they don't have Ben anymore in Season 3, the Umbrella Academy will be far more strong than before, as Lila (Ritu Arya) appears to have joined the squad.
Is Lila The Umbrella Academy's New Ace?
Lila was introduced as The Handler's (Kate Walsh) adopted daughter in Season 2 of The Umbrella Academy, and it was revealed that she is one of the kids with superpowers.
Lila proved to be more powerful than the rest of The Umbrella Academy team due to her ability to imitate the powers of others, and she nearly beat the team on her own. Lila snatched a briefcase and vanished at the end of The Umbrella Academy Season 2, and it's unknown where or when she landed, but Season 3 character posters show she's now part of the crew.
The plot of The Umbrella Academy Season 3 is yet unknown, but it is known that the Umbrella Academy and the Sparrow team will have to face each other, though whether they will be allies or adversaries remains to be seen.
