The Symbiote Takes Control in Latest Venom Trailer

If you thought the last trailer didn't have enough symbiote for you, Sony's third trailer for Venom has you covered. The symbiote practically steals the spotlight here, talking to Eddie Brock and some of his victims before seemingly eating them. We also get our first look at the enemy Eddie has to take on and it is a symbiote but it isn't Carnage. Doesn't look like him anyway.

With plenty of action and awesome-looking shots of the character, this could be the trailer fans have been dying to see. It also manages to avoid spouting out too many spoilers by focusing on Venom and the destruction he leaves in his path. There's nothing too bloody here but judging by how some scenes were cut, it looks like that R rating is going to come in handy.

As expected, there is no white spider emblem in Venom's chest but there are white veins that go around his body. It's a smart way to get over the lack of a Spider-Man connection whilst also paying tribute to the character. Plus, the character just looks amazing and should make fans of the anti-hero very happy.

Nothing too revealing about the plot is revealed but the villain does look like a generic, evil businessman. He still seems like a threat to Eddie, even tearing off pieces of the symbiote in a scene near the end of the video. If the trailer's focus on (possibly) bloody action is anything to go by, no one will likely care about the villain by the end.

Venom hits theaters on October 5.
