The Suicide Squad Sneak Peek Teases John Cena's 'Douchey Captain America' and King Shark in Action

We finally know who is playing who in The Suicide Squad and now we have an awesome sneak peek at what it was like filming the highly-anticipated DC Extended Universe flick. A special behind-the-scenes look at the James Gunn movie has just been revealed at DC FanDome and it offers a glimpse at John Cena's Peacemaker and King Shark in action.

The sneak peek was shared by Gunn at The Suicide Squad panel at DC FanDome and it features behind-the-scenes footage of the film. For instance, we get to see the cast doing their stunts. However, there is also amazing footage featuring Harley Quinn in a red dress gunning down several bad guys. We're not sure if this is the final shot that will end up in the movie but it looks pretty cool.

Cena is also shown talking about his character who he describes as a "douchey Captain America" who Gunn says "believes in peace at any cost no matter how many people he needs to kill along the way." Well, that's a different approach to achieving peace. At one point, there is also a brief glimpse at King Shark grabbing a man and preparing to devour him.

Interestingly, Gunn claims that The Suicide Squad is "by far, the biggest movie I've ever made" which is a lot considering that he's worked on two Guardians of the Galaxy films. Needless to say, it has us hyped up for the new project.

The Suicide Squad is scheduled for release on August 6, 2021.
