The Suicide Squad Director James Gunn Addresses Possible Bloodsport Return

There is little doubt that The Suicide Squad gave us a lot of memorable new characters who we are hoping will be back in another sequel. So far, we have Peacemaker's awesome TV series but is it possible we'll get to see more of Bloodsport in the future? James Gunn has just addressed the possibility of bringing back Idris Elba in his character's own spin-off show!

James Gunn has always been active on social media and it's no surprise that he responds to fan questions. For instance, a fan recently reached out to Gunn asking if he would be open to working on a Bloodsport show with Idris Elba. Interestingly, Gunn admitted that it's all just a matter of scheduling.

"I’m always open to working with Idris again (and Bloodsport). It’s just a matter of I only have so many hours in the day," Gunn tweeted.

It's a hopeful response and we'd love to see more of Bloodsport in the future. After all, Peacemaker already has his own show and it should just be a matter of time before Robert Dubois gets a project. However, it's still best to remember that James Gunn is a busy man so it might still be a long wait for that.

James Gunn is currently working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and he is set to start work on Peacemaker Season 2 soon after that. His next projects have not yet been announced. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The second season of Peacemaker is currently in development and James Gunn is set to continue writing and directing the new episodes. It has also been reported that Gunn is developing more The Suicide Squad spin-off projects that will feature other characters. However, the other shows have not yet been officially announced.
