The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Reveals Cast for the Anime Movie

An all new-two-part film is coming with The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh and new art has been dropped by Netflix Anime at the Anime Japan 2022 event which reveals the cast for the upcoming movie. The franchise still lives and breathes, thanks to the streaming service, and a new story is about to unveil.

During Anime Japan 2022, Netflix Anime dropped a new art for the two-part The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh movie to introduce the cast. Yuuki Kaji will be back to voice Meliodas and he would be joined by two others who will both play Meliodas’ son, Tristan. The younger version will be voiced by Mikako Komatsu and the teenage version will be by Ayumu Murase.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh will be directed by Bob Shirahata, written by Rintarou Ikeda, and animated by Alfred Imageworks and Marvy Jack. Noyiruki Abe sits as the supervising director.

A new story is promised by the upcoming movie where Meliodas is all-grown-up and with a wife and child of his own. The story will revolve around his son, Tristan.

The Seven Deadly Sins is based on the pages of the Japanese fantasy shōnen manga series of Nakaba Suzuki which was published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine where the chapters were compiled within forty-one tankōbon volumes. It concluded in March 2020. A sequel manga was launched by Suzuki titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse.

The main anime series of The Seven Deadly Sins ended in January 2021. All the five seasons of the show are available on Netflix anime which will be accessible under various subscription costs depending on the plan you choose: $8.99 per month for the basic plan, $13.99 monthly for the standard plan, and $17.99 a month for the premium plan.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh is expected to premiere in 2022, however, there is no confirmed release date yet.
