The Russo Brothers Give Fans A New Look At Chris Hemsworth In ‘Dhaka’

Joe and Anthony Russo might be busy working on Avengers: Endgame but it looks like the Marvel directors still have time to complete another project outside of the franchise.

Taking to Twitter, the Russo brothers decided to give Marvel fans a new look at Marvel's Asgardian God of Thunder Chris Hemsworth in their upcoming kidnap action-drama movie for Netflix, Dhaka. Not only will the film star Hemsworth, but it will also feature the acting prowess of Stranger Things and Hellboy actor David Harbour, Daredevil's Jay Ali, Manoj Bajpai, as well as Randeep Hooda.

Dhaka centers around the story of a mercenary who is hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an Indian businessman. Hemsworth plays the part of Tyler Rake, someone who is "physically brave but an emotional coward." Rake will have to "come to terms with his identity and sense of self" as he tries to rescue this kidnapped son of an Indian businessman in Dhaka.

Not only is the film being produced by Joe and Anthony's AGBO film company, but Joe also penned the project under Sam Hargrave. Dhaka is Hargrave's very first feature film. The filmmaker served as an additional second unit director on the first installment in the Russo's two-part Avengers movie, Avengers: Infinity War.

Hargrave has also worked with the Russos in other projects, first as a stunt double in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and then as a fight/stunt coordinator on Captain America: Civil War, Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

The Russo Brother's Dhaka is set for release on Netflix sometime this year. Meanwhile, Avengers: Endgame is slated to premiere on April 26, 2019.
