The entire Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom is celebrating the second anniversary of Avengers: Endgame which shattered box office records two years ago even becoming the highest-grossing film of all time until the honor was snagged back by Avatar just recently. Still, despite losing the box office throne, people are still lauding the film for its exceptional story-telling and mind-blowing sequences, bringing together all of the MCU's biggest heroes in one colossal offering, something that no other comic book film has ever done before.
The film, which was 10+ years in the making serves as the culmination of the MCU's Infinity saga and it's safe to say that majority of the fandom was pleased with how everything turned out. Of course, a lot of credit goes to the brilliant minds of Joe and Anthony Russo aka the Russo Brothers who helmed the last two Avengers films.
Naturally, the duo would also take part in celebrating the Marvel milestone. On their official Twitter account, Joe and Anthony joined the "marvelous" party by sharing some new behind-the-scenes images from the film including some of its cast and crew. They wrote: "2 years since the release of Endgame..." Check out the photos below:
While three of the main stars of the Avengers franchise — Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson — have seemingly been relieved of their MCU duties, the directing duo will stick around in the franchise but as it stands, we still have no idea which Phase 4 project they'll be taking on. But much like the aforementioned Marvel actors, Joe and Anthony are also taking some time away from the Marvel limelight, possibly to recharge and eventually go back to the drawing board.
